Day 1 : Guwahati Arrival – Guwahati (1148 Ft / 350 Mts, 25 Kms / 01 Hrs Drive Approx)
Meet & greet on arrival at Guwahati airport & transfer to Hotel. Guwahati, ‘The light of the East’ is the commercial capital of North East lying adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra.
Day 2 : Guwahati – Shillong – Shillong (5002 Ft / 1525 Mts, 140 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive approx)
After breakfast drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake (also known as Barapani Lake), a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Upon reaching check in
Overnight at Shillong.
Day 3 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong:
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, for an awesome day trip. En route visit the famous Elephant. At Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem view point for mesmerizing views of the Hills.
In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit the Ramakrishna Mission. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.
Day 4 : Shillong – Mwallynong – Shillong:
Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk to have a spectacular view of the Single living Root Bridge.
After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. It is a splendid drive of 45 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River, The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed.
Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.
Mawlynnong village, situated at about 100 Kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, *a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of this Village and with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis.

Day 5 : Shillong – Tezpur/ Bhalukpong: Tezpur (160 Ft / 48 Mts, 240 Kms / 06to 07 Hrs drive approx)
After breakfast drive to Tezpur / Bhalukpong (325 kms / 7 hrs drive), a town on the Assam – Arunachal Pradesh border. Check in to hotel.
Overnight in Tezpur / Bhalukpong.
Day 6 : Tezpur – Dirang (195 km / 6.5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Dirang (4910 ft). Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre. Arunachal, the ‘Orchid Paradise’ is famed to have the largest variety of orchids in India. The Orchidarium at Tipi shelters 500 or more varieties of orchids which are available in various parts of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a premier Institute of excellence in orchid research and development, under the State Forest Research Institute (Department of Environment and Forests , Arunachal Pradesh).
Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 7 : Dirang – Tawang – Tawang (10000 Ft / 3048 Mts, 160 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs drive approx
After breakfast, proceed to Tawang (140km) – the land of Monpa Tribes and major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass – Se la Pass(13700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Se la Lake. And visit Jaswantgarh – a memorial to the brave soldier who single handedly tried to hold of approaching Chinese during the 1962 Chinese aggression. Upon arrive check in to hotel. Overnight at Tawang.
Day 8 : Tawang – Tawang – Bumla Pass, Madhuri (ShunGatser) Lake & PTSO Lake – Tawang
Today morning after early breakfast, you will drive to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang at the Indo-China border over 15,200 ft above sea level. A further drive will take you to visit high altitude lake called as Shunga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake located 35, kms away from Tawang near the China Border. The drive to Shunga-tser Lake is full of thrill and one can still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surrounding, It was formed in the aftermath of the 1950 earthquake. Prior to the earthquake, this piece of land used to be employed as the grazing ground for the cattle. The evidence of it can be seen in the protruding trunks of the dead trees from the middle of the lake. The lake has been under supervision of Army men, who have also arranged for a cafeteria nearby. Tourists can relish on the delicious Momos, Maggis topped with a cup of tasty coffee or tea. Tourists can also take to trekking around the lake while enjoying the gentle lashes of the pleasant breeze around. During return take a photo stop at the beautiful PTSO lake en route (17 kms away from Tawang, Pangong Tang Tso Lake popularly known as PT Tso which is an extremely scenic drive with bird’s eye view of the township below). Later in the afternoon drive back to hotel. On the way back visit Ani Gompha. Rest of the evening at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.

- Our Vehicles are not allowed to do PTSo lake, Madhuri lake & Bumla Pass Sightseeing. Local vehicle will be provided for the same. We have no control on this local vehicle which may be a combination of Non AC Tata Sumo/Xylo etc.
- Bumla la pass is a border between India & China, hence additional formalities are involved, Kindly refer enter & documentation formalities
Day 9 : Tawang – Bomdila – Bomdila (7923 Ft / 2415 Mts, 180 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs drive approx)
After breakfast drive to Bomdila- the head quarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gompa).Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay at Bomdila.
Day 10 : Bomdila – Kaziranga – Kaziranga National Park (197 Ft / 60 Mts, 220 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs drive approx
After Breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check-in hotel. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park:
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
Day 11: Kaziranga
After breakfast go for Optional: Elephant Ride / Jeep Safari (subjected to availability & operational condition) to one Range. After lunch go for Optional: Jeep Safari (subjected to availability & operational condition) to the other Range. Visit Kaziranga National Orchid And Biodiversity Park (Subjected to time availability & operational condition). Overnight at Kaziranga.
National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries: As a rule, all National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries along with the Jungle activities in Assam are
- Open for tourists between November to April (for 6 months)
- Remains closed between May to October every year.
- However depending on the monsoon & water logging into the National Park, the Forest Authority may decide to extend the closing of park into May or may decide to open the park prior & start the operation in October.
- Elephant ride will only be available in between November to April.
- Jeep Safari operating during the extended period will have limited excess into the forest.
Day 12 : Kaziranga – Kohima – Khonoma Village (5317 Ft / 1621 Mts, 25 Kms / 01 to 1 ½ Hrs drive approx)
After breakfast check out and proceed to Kohimal. Upon arrival at Kohima, checkin to the hotel. Overnight at Kohima.
Day 13 : Dimapur Airport Departure
After breakfast transfer to Imphal airport for onward journey.
